Yeah 18 years ago that gift totally was off the mark, but now that I am “mature” as some say, I would find it very interesting. Not sure the same would be true for your brother though!

Thanks again!! So excited!! :)

I loved your gift disaster story… devastating as a 13 year old but a totally awesome gift now.. :) Isn’t that the way it always goes? :D

RED DEER REAL ESTATE | MINOR MISHAPS AND BEING ON THE BALL

So Andrea and I moved again relatively recently into my parents home. They had been trying to sell for over a year and nobody would bite. We were quickly growing out of our current house, and being the creative types we easily saw the potential that nobody else could see in my parents house, so...

DONATIONS FOR SLAVE LAKE | PERSONAL

I am sure by now most of you have heard about the devastating wildfires that have engulfed the town of Slave Lake and forced the evacuation of the entire town from their homes. When a major catastrophe hits so close to home, it really gets me thinking about how we can all pitch in and...

RED DEER REAL ESTATE | SOCIAL MEDIA IS KILLING YOU!

Social media. It’s magical. It’s intriguing. It’s confusing. I love social media. Social media gave me my first sale in real estate. It holds great potential to increase, organize, and streamline your business. You can connect easily and conveniently with hundreds, nay THOUSANDS of people in a matter of mere moments. If handled in the...

Thanks for checking the site! I am constantly embarrassed by the real estate traffic on twitter, totally missing the point of social media (start by building relationships, not expecting them). Great podcast, by the way!

Red Deer Radio - April 2, 2011 - 1:04 pm

Good writing. I found your blog via Twitter, and as someone who has vocally complained about the amount of annoying realtors and other businesses spamming Twitter (Really? Do we need to put #reddeer in EVERY tweet?), I gotta give you some props for playing the game right.

Just goes to show that it’s not the fact your business is ON Twitter, it’s how it USES Twitter that matters.

Well said Mike. I particularly enjoyed the part about “we just sold a house!”. Exactly, thanks for doing what you’re supposed to do, thats not news.

Twitter Facebook posts. I prefer to use selective twitter. http://www.facebook.com/selectivetwitter
Typically my posts are separate and different, but when the need to post to both arises insert #fb and your posting to facebook as well.

All the best,
P

RED DEER REAL ESTATE | A NEW YEAR, A NEW SET OF RESOLUTIONS!

Photobucket

Another year has come and gone, and to say that 2010 was a more successful year than 2009 would be an understatement. Two years in the business of real estate and both have been fantastic, albeit very different from one another: In 2009, I learned a few important things that carried through in my business...

Thanks Ryan, glad you enjoy the content!

Rhonda - January 5, 2011 - 7:00 pm

I love that you have taken time to stop and contemplate your life and where it is going and what is truly important to you, it is inspiring!!! You have so much integrity and to me you have already accomplished so much more, you are a complete success. Seems like you have found your way to the all elusive state of happiness that everyone’s after but we can loose sight of it if we seek for it, so congrats and thank you for sharing that gift with others by just being you:))
