As the end of 2009 approaches, I will be celebrating my first full year in the real estate business in Central Alberta. With all of the talk of economic turmoil as the end of 2008 approached, to say that I was a little tentative and nervous about starting up my career at this point in...

Thanks girls! Your career is what you make of it, if you are going to do it for a while you might as well do something you enjoy and do it a way that is enjoyable to you! Nice work on the Babycakes website by the way!

Your marketing of ‘just being yourself’ is brilliant and stands apart from any other realtor I have known. We often brag about how fantastic you are in this industry. Keep doing what you are doing Mike, congrats.

Im am officially stating that James’ response is my favorite. So honest & touching. Nice one James.

ps. Things I would like to changed include: curbing my temper, booking a solid roster of weddings for 2010, eating more raw cake batter, celebrating more without alcohol, & sleeping in less.

Nice post Mikey!

I recently moved to Guelph Ontario. Why? Because I thought I needed a change. Now, if I don’t find a job in the next short while, I will be on the street with an empty hat, looking for more change.

This fall will be the last I see through the eyes of a twenty-something. Come December I am suppose to transcend into a “mature” male… responsible, caring, domesticated, thirty. This seems like an unnecessary page to have to turn, and I ask “If 30 is the new 20… then do I not have 10 more years of rash decision making and blatant irresponsibility?”… the mutual reason for both being snowboarding and the effort put forth to do so without ever paying.

Since this revision is seemingly mandatory, perhaps even court ordered, I gueeess I can make a future with this girl who for whatever reason consistently loves me for me… I will never understand this, but here we are ;) I look upon my Autumn return to Red Deer as a legitament beginning to something where the end is not the proverbial Sunday evening of a three day winter weekend. Fantastic.

So, as I struggle up the steps of life (looking across at the escalator of life, “DAMMIT!”), I do it with a smile induced by times I can’t fully remember with friends I will never forget. Thanks for the good times Backside Tours, but I’ve found someone else… don’t worry we’ll always be friends.

1.) Losing 15 lbs before christmas.
2.) Telling my loved ones “I love you” more often.
3.) Curb my candy consumption in time for Halloween.

Thanks!

Where to start? with the change in season I see my fly fishing gear retired yet again for another long winter, my passion put on hold yet again due to the looming snow cresting the horizon. The days start to get shorter which makes going to school in the dark of the morning and leaving in the darkness of the night an un-fun adventure; repeated daily. However my spirits are lifted with the transformation and beauty of the natural world around us. Major changes this year, I turn 25 OMG! i know im old, and i finish university. Big decisions to be made in this young mans life this fall and winter! where will life take me, and where will i end up? someplace meaningful i hope ;) .

p.s. If i win, donate the gift certificate to the boys and girls club, or the women’s shelter :) .

I foresee a change in underpants… I’ve been looking for a third side to these for the better part of a month now.
